The Contractors

 

Rumour has it that there is an alliance of Wizards in the world of Mianite, called The Contractors.

These "Wizards" are scholarly builders and transmuters of the aetheric energies that exist in the world.

They wield a power so great that they can conjure matter from constantly renewed energies, and can those same energies to remove matter without a trace.

 

Because of their great power, they must remain truly unaligned and neutral in the affairs of the Gods.

It is believed that, should they pray to one God, their power would so greatly fracture the delicate balance between Mianite, Ianite and Dianite that it would result in a complete collapse of all life.

 

The Wizards exist as observers of the world, providing magical services when it pretains to masterful creations for the inhabitants of the land.

Their path is one of solitude, living out their lives without interferring in the machinations of the Faithful and their deities. Because of this they are the prime candidates for recording the affairs of the worlds so that future generations might learn from the past's failures and successes.

The Wizards live by strict rules. They dedicate their lives to studying, meditating, building and observing. Only dedicated and pure students will be able to take the oath and get acces to their full inner power.
